Fixed barely even makes sense: My apologies, looked at the screenshots too quick: Ned didn't read your entire message.Support Team Ben, we're already taking a look at how the fix is handling that particular text correction and appreciate you sending this in with the comparison. We'll get back to you here once we know more.Auto changes to ManualEbony N.I customized Charm to be auto for all my apps, and when I return, it's back to manual, specifically for Vivaldi Browser. It does change to Fix Selection. Does this mean that Vivaldi is not supported? I use the browser for work.Support Team Ebony, we really appreciate you raising this with us, especially since Vivaldi's integral to your workflow. We're looking into why your auto setting isn't sticking for the browser and will post an update here once we know more.Mac KeynotePieter PretoriusI don't see any correction of mis-spelled words in Keynote and I have to do it manuallySupport Team Pieter - This is how Charm is designed to work in apps like Keynote. Presentation apps handle their text on a custom canvas rather than the standard text fields most apps use, so instead of rewriting live as you type, Charm corrects them with Fix Selection. Just highlight the text you'd like to polish up and press Option-Command-V, and Charm cleans up spelling and grammar in one pass. You can change that shortcut in Charm's Settings if you'd prefer a different one. Give it a try in Keynote and let us know how you get on? Feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions? Can't add an app to exclude.ben SpinkI'm developing in Eclipse and it keeps "fixing" my java code....obviously incorrectly. I Can't add Eclipse to the blocked list, and its not showing up automatically.Support Team Looking into this now, Ben. We'll come back to you shortly with an update.Unexplainable "fixing"...ben SpinkI used option-cmd-v to fix this sentence: "CrushFTP is set to 8GB now. You should be able to safely increase CrushFTP to 12 or 14GB of that 19GB." ...it had no mistakes but I hadn't taken time to proofread it so iw as hitting fix on it regardless. It came up with this much worse version... "CrushFTPi s set to 8GB now. You should be able to safely increaseC rushFTP to 12 or 14GB of that 19GB." ........the fix made it much worse....like maybe it undid all my typos that had gotten fixed as I was typing before? If I then try and "fix" that broken sentence again....it gets even worse and adds more characters in the wrong places.... Really can't understand the logic and how its badly fixing things.Support Team Thanks for the detailed write-up. That kind of specific example is genuinely useful, and it's exactly what the latest update refines. Charm 1.0.55 (out now via Check for Updates) improves how Fix Selection handles text that's already correct. It now leaves your writing exactly as you wrote it, including product and code names like CrushFTP, and only steps in when there's a genuine spelling slip to fix. A sentence that's already clean comes back untouched. If you ever saw Fix Selection adjust the spacing on text that didn't need it, this update resolves that. Update and give it another run, and it should sit quietly now. Thanks again for reporting it so clearly, that's exactly what helps us make Charm better.Typing my PasswordsAndrea JM Von EugenThis is now typing my passwords into LLMS how to stop?Support Team Andrea, I want to reassure you on this directly. Charm does all of its work on your device, nothing you type is ever stored or sent anywhere. The latest update (1.0.51) also makes Charm explicitly skip password fields, so it doesn't read them at all. Your passwords are never seen, kept, or transmitted. Thanks for raising it, it's an important thing to get right.High CPU usageAndrea JM Von EugenNoticing high CPU usage. Please investigate, tySupport Team Andrea, thanks for flagging this. The latest update (1.0.51) significantly reduces how much CPU Charm uses while you type in a browser. To respect your per-site settings, Charm checks which website you're on, and that check is now far lighter and cached, so it no longer keeps the browser working hard in the background. If you noticed your browser feeling heavier with Charm running, this update resolves that. Really appreciate the report.Unable to find way to add note taking appsaga5tyaHi, two of my apps where I need this app is on Bike Outliner and Agenda note taking app; I see apps selected under Customize option but do not see a way to active for these apps. Please guide how to make this possible. Thank you.Support Team Happy to clear this up, and good news: you don't need to add apps at all. Charm works in every app automatically, so it's already active in Bike Outliner and Agenda. The list under Customize → Apps only shows apps where Charm has switched to Fix Selection mode; any app not in that list is getting full live correction by default. So a few things to check for those apps: Make sure both permissions are on: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and Input Monitoring, with Charm enabled in each. Look in Customize → Apps: if Bike Outliner, Agenda, or Mail appear there set to Fix Selection, that's why live correction isn't firing, you can switch them back to Automatic. One thing worth knowing: some note-taking apps use their own custom text editors, which can limit live, as-you-type correction. For those, the reliable approach that works almost everywhere is Fix Selection: select the text and press Option + Command + V, and Charm cleans it up in place. Apple Mail is supported, so if it's not working there, it's almost always the permissions above. If you can tell me what happens when you type in Bike Outliner or Agenda (nothing at all, or partial corrections?), I'll dig into those specific apps for you.Conflicting inside Canary Mail editoraga5tyaThe selection keeps overriding my flow of typing and disabling both emoji and prediction is the only way to use the editor. The latest update improves how Charm adapts to apps with non-standard editors like Canary Mail's. The technical detail: some editors (Canary Mail among them) don't expose their text selection through macOS's accessibility layer in the way Charm uses for inline edits. Charm now detects that automatically and gracefully steps back in those specific apps, so it stays out of your way, while keeping Fix Selection available and leaving word prediction fully on. You get a clean typing experience there without having to adjust anything yourself. Open Charm and Check for Updates for 1.0.50, and let me know how Canary Mail feels now.Prediction/typing overlapChris LeCI've purchased Charm, but I am getting conflicting prediction results that depend on my typing speed. If I type slowly, fine. If I type quickly, fine. With a medium typing speed, I sometimes get the wrong word. Here is an example of medium typing. It's a bit hit-or-miss, but it does depend on typing speed. Typed 'charm' becomes 'chanm'.| What I type | What I see. Charm prediction in [ ] || ----------- | ----------------------------------- || c | c || h | ch || a | cha[nge] || r | chan[ger] || m | chanm |What I believe is happening is that Charm is suggesting a word, highlighting it (but missing the 'n' and ignoring the typed 'r'). I've tried recording this, but my software does not capture a-z key presses. The word 'speed' can become 'specd' (from the suggestion of 'spe[cial]').The word 'spoke' can become 'spore' (from the suggestion of 'spo[rts]'Support Team Chris, great write-up, that table is exactly the kind of detail that helps. The latest update refines how word prediction behaves at speed. Technically: when Charm predicts, it inserts the suggested completion and then highlights it so your next keystroke replaces it. We've tightened that sequence so the insertion and the highlight now happen as a single ordered step, which keeps everything perfectly in step no matter how quickly you type or how you pause and resume. The result is notably crisper prediction at medium and fast speeds. Open Charm and Check for Updates for 1.0.50. If you come across anything else worth refining, please do let me know.
