One-tap memory cleanup for a faster Mac.Visit ShinyIcon shows full in red, but when you open the app it says things are fine. It would help if I could have included a screenshot.
Mark, thanks for flagging the mismatch between what the icon is displaying and what you're seeing in the app itself, we're looking into it now. We'll post any updates here.
Mark,
Shiny 1.0.55 brings the menu bar icon and the panel into step.
Thank you for the report, and for sending your diagnostics with it.
The menu bar icon now follows your Mac's memory, the same reading the panel shows under Memory and the one Polish works on. As memory fills up, the icon fills and changes colour with it. When something else needs a look, such as an app that has been busy for a while or storage that is nearly full, the icon turns amber and the panel shows what it is.
If you ever noticed the icon looking full while the panel said all was well, this update resolves that.
Shiny checks for updates on its own, so 1.0.55 should reach you shortly.
