Atlass not running in background

So the app has permission to run in the background & I have it set to appear in the menubar, however if i close the app to remove it from the dock the whole app closes, no more mentor. Surely the app should be able to run from menubar? not sure if I missed something in settings?

Gareth, we're already looking into the background running behavior you've raised, and we appreciate you flagging it. We can see how frustrating it would be to have the app close completely when you're trying to keep it running from the menubar, so we're investigating what's happening there. We'll post an update here once we know more.

Good news, Gareth, this is now sorted in Atlas 1.0.9.

There is a new Hide Dock icon setting in Settings, Behaviour. Switch it on and Atlas runs from the menu bar alone, staying out of your Dock and your app switcher while it carries on updating everyone's times in the background. Opening it again from the menu bar brings the main window straight back.

Atlas should automatically ask you if you'd like to update, and if not, you can open Settings and check for updates.
