Keyboard muting isn't universal

I have a speaker group which containts two monitor speakers as well as the default which is just one monitor speaker. When I mute the audio from the keyboard while using an app that uses the multi-speaker group, it correctly mutes. If I then switch to an app that uses the default audio, a tiny bit of sound leaks through. When I goto the Chorus app, I can see that the default speakers are not actually muted, if I click the speaker icon it will mute. But the keyboard control makes you believe it's muted, even though its not fully muted.

Adam, we're already digging into what you've described with the keyboard mute and speaker groups, thanks for flagging it. We can see how that would be frustrating when the mute state isn't syncing properly across your different outputs, and we'll post an update here once we've had a proper look.

Adam, this is fixed in Chorus 1.0.5, which is out now.

Mute was only silencing the speakers inside your active group, so anything playing through another output carried on, even though the keyboard and the menu bar both said muted.

Mute now covers everything your Mac can play through: your group, your main output, and any app you have routed to its own speaker. It also holds properly, so connecting or disconnecting a device no longer lifts it. While we were in there we found mute did nothing at all on outputs that expose no volume control of their own, so that works now too.

Chorus should automatically ask you if you'd like to update, and if not, you can open Settings and check for updates.
