Weather Toggle doesn't automatically work as expected

I have dark mode activated by time overnight. I also have weather activated to Overcast mode. When it's a sunny day, the app doesn't seem to check the weather for overcast conditions. When I click the 'Overcast' button, the app then switches to light mode. It should switch on its own.

Collin, thanks for raising this with us, we can see what's happening with the weather toggle not picking up those conditions automatically and we'll dig into it. Any updates will show up here.

Collin, thanks for the detail, it pointed us straight to it.

The latest Solace update makes weather mode check today's forecast as soon as your morning light time arrives, so a clear day switches to light on its own without needing to tap anything.

Solace should ask you to update automatically, and if not, you can right-click the menu bar icon, choose Settings and click Check for Updates.

Any other issues or feedback, please just get back in touch and let us know.

Hi team,

After updating to 1.0.56, this behavior still doesn't work as expected. I'm curious if some extra steps need to be taken to make this work as advertised.

Collin, thanks for coming back to us, that's really useful.

To pin this down, could you email a screenshot of Solace's Weather Decisions list to support@theodorehq.com, from a morning when your Mac stayed dark? You'll find it by right-clicking the Solace icon in your menu bar, choosing Settings, opening Support and clicking Weather Decisions. It shows when and why Solace made each day's choice.

It would also help to know roughly what time you opened your Mac that morning.

Any other issues or feedback, please just get back in touch and let us know.
