The latest update (1.0.57) is live and improves the exact things you ran into: Your "FYI" and the "..." pause are now kept exactly as you wrote them, instead of getting pulled into the next word. "No more" stays as you typed it. And Charm reads dense, typo-heavy passages more accurately across the board, so there's far less to proofread afterwards. On "power" specifically: when a word is scrambled as far as "epwoer" was, the correction can land on the nearest real word rather than the one you actually meant. Two things help there now: The on-device model catches a lot more of these, and it's ready faster when you reach for Fix Selection. New in this update: Charm learns the word you mean. If it ever picks the wrong one, just fix it to what you intended and Charm remembers, so next time it gives you your word. You can see everything it has learned in Settings, under Personal. Typing to an AI bot, fully dunesands me with never any issue, and I can be lazy typing. The latest update (1.0.54, out now via Check for Updates) improves exactly the kind of fast-typing slips you described: Transposed letters where the closest spelling isn't the right word (your "msot" landing on the wrong word): Charm now weighs the whole sentence and picks the word that actually fits. Mistimed spaces that split or join two words ("character sin" for "characters in", "com on" for "common", "it sthat" for "its that"): Charm now repairs these. Two quick notes: these are strongest with Fix Selection (select your text and press Option-Command-V), which is also how Charm works in web browsers and Electron apps. And a few very heavily scrambled words may still slip through, which is the next thing on our list. Any other questions, please let us know. It lets you set a short shortcut that expands into any longer text you like, such as your full address. How to set it up: 1- Open Charm's Settings and go to Personal, then Replacements. 2- Add a shortcut (for example addr) and set its expansion to your full address. 3- Now, in any app including web forms, type addr and Charm expands it to the whole address. This works in normal form fields just like anywhere else. The only spots Charm deliberately leaves alone are password fields and the browser's address bar, so your saved snippets are there when you need them. Add as many as you like (email, phone, a standard signature), all kept on your Mac. Charm now works only on the text you're actually writing and stays completely out of the browser's address and search bar, so it won't touch what you type there. Also misses easy spelling mistakes too many timesSupport Team Andrea, the latest update (1.0.51) makes Charm much gentler on browsers, so the sluggishness you saw in Vivaldi should be greatly improved (it shares a root cause with the CPU change). On the missed corrections: inside Chromium-based browsers like Vivaldi, the most reliable way to correct text is Charm's Fix Selection, just select the text and press Option-Command-F. Charm now switches to that mode automatically in those browsers and lets you know when it does, so your corrections land accurately without getting in the way of the page.Doesn't work.Eric EApp is installed, permissions set, app is running, "spells" and "polish" are both on. When Charm isn't correcting in every app at once, it's almost always just a quick permissions toggle rather than anything wrong, so this should be a fast one to sort. Charm needs two macOS permissions to read and correct text. After an app update, macOS sometimes quietly switches these off even though they still look enabled, so the reliable fix is to remove and re-add them: 1. Reset the two permissions Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security. Go to Accessibility: if Charm is listed, select it and click the minus (–) button to remove it. Go to Input Monitoring and do the same. Quit Charm completely (click the menu bar icon, then Quit), and reopen it. Charm will prompt you to grant both again. Approve them, and toggle each switch fully on. 2. Check Charm is active Click the Charm icon in the menu bar and make sure the status shows it's running and that Spelling (Spells) is switched on. 3. Make sure neither app is blocked In Charm's settings, under the per-app rules, check that Vivaldi and Apple Mail aren't set to have spelling turned off. A reliable fallback in any app: manual Fix Selection Some apps, browsers especially, don't always allow Charm to rewrite text instantly and invisibly as you type, because of how they handle their text fields internally. For those moments there's a manual mode that works everywhere: just select the text you want cleaned up and press Option + Command + V. Charm polishes the selection on the spot, spelling and grammar in one go. It's a great safety net for any app where automatic correction can't apply changes live, and many people end up using it deliberately on longer messages so they stay in full control of when corrections happen. If that shortcut clashes with something you already use, you can change it: open Charm's settings and set Fix Selection to any key combination you like. One quick test that helps me a lot: after the steps above, type a deliberately misspelled word (like "teh") in Apple Notes or TextEdit. If it corrects there but not in Vivaldi or Mail, that tells me it's app-specific and I'll dig in further. If it doesn't correct anywhere, it's still a permissions thing and we'll get it sorted.
