Typo sentence:

Just an FYI...eveyrhting has been good and stable. No mor epwoer outages, just the one of them doing an update without notifyign me. So system finally is feelign stable.

After correction with option-cmd-v:

Just an everything has been good and stable. Nom or ephor outages, just the one of them doing an update without notifying me. So system finally is feeling stable.

So it removed my FYI which was important for the sentence, and the ... pause, and destroyed the wording on "no more power"...taking me 4x the time to proofread the "fix" and ultimately give up.

Ben,

That before-and-after is genuinely helpful. The latest update (1.0.57) is live and improves the exact things you ran into:

  • Your "FYI" and the "..." pause are now kept exactly as you wrote them, instead of getting pulled into the next word.
  • "No more" stays as you typed it.
  • And Charm reads dense, typo-heavy passages more accurately across the board, so there's far less to proofread afterwards.

On "power" specifically: when a word is scrambled as far as "epwoer" was, the correction can land on the nearest real word rather than the one you actually meant. Two things help there now:

  • The on-device model catches a lot more of these, and it's ready faster when you reach for Fix Selection.
  • New in this update: Charm learns the word you mean. If it ever picks the wrong one, just fix it to what you intended and Charm remembers, so next time it gives you your word. You can see everything it has learned in Settings, under Personal.

Grab the update (Charm checks automatically, or hit Check for Updates in the menu) and give that sentence another go, I think you'll find it a lot smoother.
