macOS Share extension and Services menu entry

FeatureCompletedReport This Post

SUMMARY
I'd like to save to Muse from any Mac app, not just the browser. Muse currently ships only a Safari extension, so it doesn't appear in the macOS Share menu and offers no Services entry.

USE CASES
- Finder: share images or PDFs directly into a collection.
- Photos: send a photo to Muse.
- Mail, Messages, Notes: share a link or a piece of text.
- Any app: select text, right-click → Services → "Save to Muse".

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
- "Muse" appears in the macOS Share menu. The share sheet lets me pick a collection, add a note or tags, and save.
- A Services entry, "Save Selection to Muse", saves the selected text (with its source app or URL where available).
- Shared links get the same preview handling as links saved from the browser.

ENVIRONMENT
Muse 1.0.43 (73) · macOS 26.0

Nick, thanks for the idea—system-wide saving from any app makes a lot of sense, and we will definitely give this some thought.

Nick, Muse is now in the Share menu, and Save to Muse is in the Services menu.

Share pictures, files, links or text from Finder, Photos, Safari, Mail and more, and Muse opens its card so you can choose a collection and add tags and a note. Links saved this way get the same preview handling as the Web Clipper's.

Muse should automatically ask you if you'd like to update, and if not, you can open Settings and check for updates.
