Trackpad gestures for the full-screen preview

FeatureCompletedReport This Post

I'd like to close the full-screen view of an item with a trackpad gesture instead of reaching for Esc. Pinch-in to close, as in Photos and Quick Look, would feel native on the Mac, and a two-finger swipe left/right could move to the previous or next item. This would be an big quality of life improvement.

Nick, thanks for the suggestion around trackpad gestures in the full-screen preview, we will definitely take a look at how that could work in Muse. The pinch-to-close and swipe navigation patterns you mention make a lot of sense, and we'll post any updates here if we have news on it.

Nick, trackpad gestures are here in Muse 1.0.43.

In the preview, pinch in to step back, the same as Escape, and swipe left or right to move to the previous or next item. Swiping follows your Mac's Swipe between pages setting in System Settings > Trackpad > More Gestures, the same as Safari and Photos.

Muse should automatically ask you if you'd like to update, and if not, you can open Settings and check for updates.
