Send what you play to your Last.fm profile, so the listening history you have built there keeps growing while Echo keeps its own copy on your Mac. Echo already knows the track, artist, album and exactly when each play started and finished, so this is about passing that on rather than recording anything new. It would be off until you turn it on, you would approve it on Last.fm's own site rather than typing a password into Echo, and it would only ever send outwards, with nothing coming back in.
