Volume Always Wins
Any volume change now lifts the mute, however you make it, and Chorus keeps hold of the volume keys while it is muted.
- Dragging the panel's volume or balance sliders while muted now brings the sound back, the same as the keys and the menu-bar scroll
- A volume change also clears a mute set from outside Chorus, such as the Mac's own mute key, so the level you set is the level you hear
- The volume keys keep working while Chorus is muted even with no group active, and the menu-bar icon stays in step
- Refined how volume is read from each speaker, so the level shown always matches the one being changed

One Press Back From Muted
Reaching for the volume while muted now does exactly what you expect: your sound comes back, in one press.
- Turning the volume up or down from a muted state brings the sound back immediately, whether you use the keyboard or scroll over the menu-bar icon
- Every speaker Chorus silenced comes back together, including one an app has been sent to on its own
- If you ever found the icons went back to normal while everything stayed silent, this update resolves that

Mute That Means It
One press now quiets your whole Mac rather than just your group, and it stays quiet until you lift it.
- Mute covers everything that can make a sound: your group, your main output, and any app you have sent to its own speaker
- Improved how mute holds, so it stays on through devices connecting and disconnecting rather than lifting on its own
- Muting now works whatever you are listening through, including outputs that have no volume control of their own
- The shortcut is called Mute Speakers, so it is clear it leaves your microphone alone
- Pressing Escape in a shortcut field now clears that shortcut
- If you ever found a little sound leaking through after muting, this update resolves that

Your Group, Handed Straight Back
Headphones connecting no longer costs you your setup. Chorus keeps track of what you were listening on and returns you to it, and it now leaves your Mac tidy when you quit.
- Your group comes straight back when headphones or another device borrow the output, so plugging in and unplugging returns you exactly where you were
- If you have an Auto-Switch rule covering it, Chorus keeps the output where your rule says it should be, while still letting a deliberate choice in the panel win
- Quitting Chorus now hands your Mac back to a normal speaker, so your sound stays where you expect even with Chorus closed
- Auto-Switch rules only offer the devices you actually use, so anything hidden in Outputs or Inputs stays out of the way
- You can now build a rule for a device that is unplugged, so writing a headphones rule no longer means wearing the headphones

Activate Whenever You Like
Bought Chorus partway through your trial? You can now enter your licence key straight away, rather than waiting for the trial to finish.
- A new Licence section in Settings, About lets you enter your key at any point during the trial, so buying early activates this Mac immediately
- The same section shows how many days of your free trial are left
- Refined the Settings window so it sizes cleanly to its content on every Mac

Manage Your Own Device Slots
You can now manage which Macs your licence is active on, right from the app.
- A new Deactivate This Mac control in Settings, About frees this Mac's activation slot before you wipe or reinstall it, so a fresh install of macOS never costs you a slot
- If a key has already reached its three-Mac limit, activation now links straight to your Polar account so you can free up a slot from there instead

Chorus launches: combine multiple output devices into one with real volume control, set per-device balance, choose your input, route individual apps to specific speakers, and switch between setups automatically or with a custom shortcut.
